Iced Coffee Protein Shake

This drink is my GD-version of taking what, let's be honest, is basically a milkshake and passing it off as "coffee". If you're eschewing coffee, you could use decaf, or you could freeze the protein shake itself. Flax seeds pair well with the toastiness of coffee, and add some incidental nutrition to this shake.

Black Bean, Broccoli, & Chorizo Taco Bowls

This recipe is special to me, because it's what my husband and I were eating when I went into labor! This bowl has all the crave-able things—creamy, crunchy, tangy, smoky, bright—incorporated in each bite.Â
DINNER:
Chicken-Ricotta Meatballs in Veg Sauce

This recipe borrows from chicken & eggplant parmesan—bubbly mozzarella blanket, saucy marinara pool—but is its own one-dish dinner. Tofu bumps up the protein in the meatballs, and adds to their soft texture.
